About Me

Bienvenue sur mon blog (Welcome to my blog) – I adore loveeeeeeeeeee the French language and culture!

Between the hustle and bustle of your day, and the constant gibber-jabber, you’ve taken time out to peek at my ramblings and thoughts, so thank you.

I am going to try my hardest not to bore with the mundane aspects of my life.

So, here goes;

My name is Palmira. I am 22 years old, and I live in the United States and Sierra Leonean by birth. I am a Christian – born again to be specific.

I just graduated from University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology (Yup! I know you must be thinking, “why is SHE writing a blog?”). So slow down, and I’ll get to that in a minute (insert smiley face). I smile a lot. It’s too bad I can’t insert my actual facial expressions into my writing. I think they’d make some pretty amazing GIFs.

I love to travel, even though I haven’t had a lot of time to do that in the last couple of years, but I am looking forward to some pretty amazing opportunities that are being presented to me. I am a family kind of girl, and my walk with God is very important to me. I’ve found that I am nothing and no one without Jesus by my side, and I hope as you continue to learn more about me and my life, you’ll see that there is a lot to testify about when Jesus is the foundation upon which your life is built.

I love science, undoubtedly so, nevertheless, I’ve always read piles and tons of books all my life. This hobby has somewhat found a way to open my mind, and lend an endless imagination to me. My mind is very important to me, so I am very cautious about the things I let be instilled into my thoughts and being. This is how I got to writing. I wanted to understand myself more, and it was a great outlet from the tasking duties of everyday life. I think I have scraps of paper and essays from high school up to college tucked away somewhere in my bookcase and filing cabinets that are spilling with stories of life, love, faith, hope, dreams, and more.

You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.” ~ Isaiah 62:3

Then one day (not literally one day, but this decision took a lot of thinking and going back and forth), I thought, “why not start a blog where I can write about things that are important to me and to you?”  Of course this is no conventional blog, I have no intention of sticking to just one particular topic. I plan to take you along on my journeys – whatever and wherever they may take me. A lot of my posts will be deep-rooted in my Faith and Love for the Lord and the journey He is taking me on.

Everyday is a learning experience for me, and in no way shape of form do I know all the answers to life’s questions, but at the end of the day I know The Man who knows, and that is sufficient for me.

So, welcome to a front row seat of my life. My mistakes, my triumphs, my failures, my victories, my growth, my peace, my love, my dreams, my aspirations, and above all, my truth.

Love and Hugs,

Royal Diadem.
